The game play is similar to Pole Position. The cars skid sideways through turns which confuses novice players but a few laps racing against a friend should usually get you hooked.

Down shifting and brakes play major parts in keeping control of the car on the tight curves. Bumping another car will not cause you to explode as in other games of the time. You can bump another car and try to make it spin out; especially fun when playing head-to-head.
